July 4th evening...........

The fireworks in my town were at this beach. We went with family, brought the comfy camp chairs and blankets and settled in to watch. This time I brought my good camera to play with. I got a few good shots. But mostly it was a beautiful evening, cool but not freezing cold but enough to wear a good jacket and have that blanket. Some made fires on the beach.

This is part of our town looking to the right of that top pic. There were fireworks going off here too . Its all open here. You see water but then theres a strip of land far off in the distance. Its what creates the bay here. That is where the fire works were shot from. This part of town is right across from it.

So this is the scene on the beach waiting for fireworks at sunset.

And so it begins.............

And so I thought Id just post a couple of the best shot I got since I know you all have seen fireworks before.

Of course I took about one hundred shots and dumped most of them. But these were the very best and this one is my favorite. Its the finale. I love the red reflection on the water.

  2. Beautiful! There's nothing like watching fireworks on the beach! We used to do that every year when we lived on the north Oregon Coast - we went to Seaside and sat on the beach with friends to watch the night sky light up. Ummm. . .I miss those days!

  3. Truly gorgeous reflection on the water...all of these have brought memories of campouts on the beach, when the kids were small and the firelight danced off the waves. Thank you for posting these...I hope to be doing just this quite soon again!
