In the middle of the night I
woke up to the sound of some pretty good hail hitting the skylights.
Then it started to sort of rain/snow and I saw it accumulating on the
skylight. So I went back to sleep.
When I got up the skylight was all covered so I went to
look out my bedroom window and this is what I saw! A winter
wonderland!!! so pretty.
I took the dog out to do her business and brought my camera with me.
Good thing I didn't plant anything yet. The garden is covered.
Looks like maybe an inch of snow. I know its not alot but its alot for where I live.
Thru my windows overlooking the mtns.
And then the sun was trying to come out...so I figured it was done and will melt soon. And it did start to melt.
So I ran around trying to get pictures fast cuz I figured
it would be gone soon. This is the front yard looking out from the man
cave.
The crocuses were blooming last week and now are covered in snow but I love this picture.
And then it started to snow again........hard! It kept
getting harder and now the sun is out again. Gonna be a weird day but I
love it. Guess Ill make soup today.
Its sticking to my back deck screens.
The sun is
out now and its stopped but Ill bet it will be like this all day. And
that's ok. I am grateful for a gas fireplace that I don't have to go
outside and cut wood for, I am grateful that the house is stocked up too
so I don't have to go to the store. I am grateful that we can stay
inside today and just enjoy it and be warm and safe. This kind of
weather is a soup day so I think Ill do just that.
I am glad you can be excited and get just enough for it to be nice without it being a pain!
ReplyDeleteWestern NY is in the process of getting about a foot and I had to drive in it! Right now, it's blowing sideways....
I love the photo with the crocuses peeking up out of the ground!
ReplyDeleteSnow can be so pretty ... but not when its the 3 foot deep kind we have been getting lately. Ugh!
Keep warm.
