As you can see I live on a hill :)
Home Sweet Home. It all happened so fast......the selling of my old house and the buying of this new one. Within a month I did all this. I moved out of state and landed in Oregon. I had my eye on this house the last month or so. I looked at others but there wasn't much out there this time of yr. But I really liked the pictures I saw of this place and once I saw it for real....that was it. It feels like home and you know when it feels like that, thats the one you have to buy. My bf and I both love it.(please excuse the mess, we dragged stuff in and left it in the kitchen when I took this picture.)
It has a big kitchen that I love since thats where I live most of the time. And it has a great room, 3 bdrms and 2 bathrms. Theres tons of storage too. The down side is I live on top of a hill....my yard goes down......on the side I have a ravine tho and once I get more organized Ill be exploring it. The previous owner has told me theres lots of neat things in there. I have some really huge spruce trees, one is supposed to be 75-90 yrs old. I think that awesome for this antique collector......now I have an antique tree.
Its gonna be interesting trying to garden with this hill but Ill try. I won't be able to do what I planned tho with my business so once I get more settled, I'll have to reevaluate my plans. But the house itself is wonderful..with gorgeous wood floors and a gas fireplace.
These shots where from when we were camping in the house for a week, waiting for our things to be taken out of storage and delivered up here. Ill be posting more later as I get rid of boxes and put furniture where I want. Eventually I'll be sharing my decorating ideas too.
Congratulations on the new house! It's wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe ceiling in the kitchen is so high. How light and airy it will be to work in there. And all those wonderful windows.
May you have many happy years in your new home.
Your new home is beautiful. And I love those big trees. I know how you feel moving from one state to another. Isn't it amazing the changes that can take place in your life in such a short time. It's almost surreal.
